Improvement Of Heat Conductivity Coefficient Of Fly Ash-Based Geopolymer Brick By Substitution Of Blast Furnace Slag

نویسندگان

چکیده

Brick, one of the oldest materials known in history, is a building material that has come up to present day by continuing its development over time. However, with technology, brick been continuously revised. Recently, researchers have turned production geopolymer bricks substituting waste into structure.
In this study it aimed research effect blast furnace slag substitution on heat conduction coefficient fly ash-based brick. study, was replaced clay different proportions (10, 30, 50, and 70%). Furthermore, 20% ash kept constant, 8 10 M sodium hydroxide for alkaline activation, 4% 8% calcium were used produce bricks.
The conductivity determination experiment applied samples. As result, observed decreased increase slag, hydroxide, substitution. best results obtained from samples produced 70% 0.26 W/mK. addition, concluded an effective way dispose industrial waste.

Effect of Blast Furnace Slag Powder and Fly Ash on Durability of Concrete Mixed with Seawater

According to the report of the United Nations, it is said that two-third of world population would be influenced by water shortage before 2050. To use fresh water effectively, the usage of seawater in concrete industry seems imperative. However, the usage of seawater as concrete material is prohibited in almost all the standards or specifications around the world. In this article, the usage of ...

The Study of Ion Adsorption by Amorphous Blast Furnace Slag

In this study, the blast furnace slag was used as absorbing bed and then, its ionic adsorption was studied. For this reason, various experimental parameters such as pH, contact time and the primary ion concentration were investigated. The remaining concentrations of ions such as; Mn2+ and Fe2+ in water were measured by atomic adsorption spectroscopy. The chemical and p...

Effects of Partial Substitution of Styrene-butadiene-styrene with Granulated Blast-furnace Slag on the Strength Properties of Porous Asphalt

The present experimental research investigates the feasibility of partial substitution of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) for the modification of bitumen and porous asphalt mixtures. The control asphalt mixture and the seven modified porous asphalt mixtures have been analyzed separately and their performance was compared. Modified bitumen and asp...

The Characterization of Fixation of Ba, Pb, and Cu in Alkali-Activated Fly Ash/Blast Furnace Slag Matrix

The fixation of heavy metals (Ba, Cu, Pb) in an alkali-activated matrix was investigated. The matrix consisted of fly ash and blast furnace slag (BFS). The mixture of NaOH and Na-silicate was used as alkaline activator. Three analytical techniques were used to describe the fixation of heavy metals-X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy di...
